A Sad Week:(

Last week was a very devastating week for us here. On Tuesday, we lost a Malaysian mom who suffered from Leukemia. The family found out about her illness only a few months ago. Yang sedihnya, dia mengandung masa dapat tahu & terpaksa gugurkan kandungan utk jalani kemoterapi. I met her for the first time masa kursus haji. She was friendy & had a very pleasant personality... She left behind 4 young kids & the eldest is only 5:(

The next day, we heard another bad news. My neigbor datang tengahari tu, tanya budak2 dah sampai rumah ke tak? Mula-mula hairan apsal dia tanya sebab walaupun the kids sama sekolah, diorang naik bas lain.Dia kata ada bas sekolah accident & her friend's son was injured. Alhamdullillah, the kids were home already at that time & I didnt think much about it as I thought it was just a fender-bender.

Unfortunately, it was a very2 bad accident. A school bus was hit by a speeding car, 6 kids died & several were badly injured. Faris' friend since grade 2 died, while his two sisters survived the crash. Can't truly describe how I felt at that time. Faris & Alya ride a SIMILAR  school bus & take the SAME route everyday! Memang sedih sangat2 masa dapat tahu.

According to the paper, the car was driven by a young driver who was traveling on a opposite direction. Mesti laju sangat dia bawak sebab divider tengah highway kat sini besar. Kereta tu langgar bas di bahagian belakang & the kids who sat there was killed instantly. Dengarnya, masih ada budak yang cedera di hospital. Driver of the car is still alive, tapi tak tahu lah dia dah ditangkap atau tidak.

Ada orang beritahu yg mata budak-budak yang terselamat ditutup so that they dont see how bad the situation was :( Sedih sangat bila tengok. (Pic from here)

Semalam, sekolah ditutup. Today, I sent the kids to school with a heavy heart & pray that Allah protect them.  My heart goes out to the parents of the kids who perished. May Allah grant them strength to get through this difficult time. As for the kids who survived the crash, I hope Allah bestow them courage to pull through after this heart wrenching ordeal. The series of unfortunate events serve as a reminder for us. Kematian boleh berlaku bila-bila masa. Tak kira muda atau tua.
