Umrah with the Atoks

This is another overdue post:) Last April, my parents came over for a visit. Sebab plan awalnya kami tak balik raya, jadi diorang datang nak spend time dengan cucu2nya lah nih.

Alhamdulillah, we managed to go with them to Madinah & Makkah. The last time they came was 10 years ago. Sekarang dah tak larat sangat:) Faris lah guide atok nya. My dad sekarang dah pelupa sikit. Jadi dia kena bawak Faris everytime pegi masjid so that tak lupa jalan nak balik hotel.

Aktiviti wajib utk kanak2. Bagi makan burung:)

Susah juga nak cari buat arrangement last minute utk kami sekeluarga sebab masa tuh visa umrah dah keluar. Bila ramai orang, hotel & barang semua pun naik harga.

Fortunately, everything turns out well at the last minute. As we normally stay nearby the ladies gate, there are plenty of reasonably priced hotel but food choices at this area is rather limited. Hotel yg kitorang duduk tuh cuma offer breakfast. Then, we found out that the hotel's restaurant offers Indonesian food for tour group. I asked if we can pay to eat there instead, but they let us eat for free throughout the three days. Baik hati sungguh orang hotel tuh:)

Atok & bodyguard dia. Hehehe!

We arrived in Makkah on a weekday. Orang tak berapa ramai. Tapi kawasan masjid tengah renovate. Space is rather limited. Tempat tawaf cuma ada di bahagian bawah. Saie pun ada dua level sahaja. Just to share some info, some hotel do provide free wheelchair. All you have to do is ask:) Lagi convenient la sebab boleh bawa terus ke hotel especially bila budak-budak tertido.

Biasanya buat umrah sekali sahaja untuk satu trip & cuba spend more time at the masjid & buat tawaf sunat. IMHO, this is the best way for them as they do not have the time as well as the energy to go back & forth to miqat area since we are there for only a few days.

Ongoing renovation project
Masa last day, orang dah kurang ramai tapi agak panas skit.
Alya dah cabut tudung sebab tak tahan:(

For this trip, we had the opportunity to stay at Retaj Suite. It is one of the most convenient place to stay. Kitorg pun dapat tahu secara kebetulan sebab dia tak advertise sangat atau listed on booking.com.  Just nak share info kalau ada yang berminat. Tak der niat nak eksen ya:)

The hotel is situated in Abraj Al-Bait/Clock Tower right across the main entrance of the masjid.  We took the duplex suite. Harganya lagi murah dari ambil dua bilik & breakfast is included.  Kebanyakan orang yg tinggal kat situ pun jemaah dari Indonesia.Diorang ambil pakej biasa kata makcik2 tuh. So, mungkin kalau guna ejen boleh dapat lagi murah.

Dalam satu unit tuh, tiga katil kat level atas & kitorg minta satu katil kat bawah. With two bathrooms, kitchenette & dining area, memang berbaloi in my opinion.

The tower & model free saya:)

Alhamdulillah memang murah rezeki my parents. Macam2 orang bagi walaupun orang tuh kekadang cakap omputih pun tak pandai. Memang syukur sangat masa tuh. Most of what we planned went well. Of course la ada masalah sikit-sikit. But it was nothing that they can't bear:)
